Refund

A Refund is the process of returning funds to a customer for a previously captured transaction. Unlike a chargeback, a refund is initiated voluntarily by the merchant, usually due to a return of goods or cancellation of service.

Refunds can take several days to appear on the customer's bank statement, depending on the issuing bank's processing times. A partial refund can also be issued for an amount less than the original capture.
