Interchange++
Interchange++ (or IC++) is a payment pricing model characterized by absolute transparency. Instead of bundling costs into a flat rate, it itemizes the three foundational components of every card transaction: the interchange fee, the scheme fee, and the acquirer markup.
The Three Pillars of IC++
- Interchange Fee: Paid to the issuing bank. Highly variable depending on card type and region.
- Scheme Fee: Paid to the card network (Visa/Mastercard).
- Acquirer Markup: The profit margin charged by your PSP or acquiring bank. This is the only negotiable part of the cost.
