BIN Cascading

BIN Cascading is an intelligent retry mechanism that automatically routes a declined transaction to an alternative acquirer or processor based on the card's Bank Identification Number (BIN).

When a transaction is soft-declined (e.g., due to temporary issuer unavailability), the orchestration layer identifies the BIN, selects a backup acquirer with historically higher approval rates for that BIN range, and retries the transaction—all within milliseconds and invisible to the cardholder.
